| Although there are four ways (we know of) to reach Bodie, we are only going to tell you one way, so you don't bust an axle... The easiest way to reach Bodie is from California Highway 395. The turnoff to Bodie (Hwy 270) is about 6 miles south of Bridgeport. Highway 270 heads east for ten miles and is well paved, but watch for cattle and curves. The last three miles to the town are graded but gravel. Respect your fellow drivers (might be me) and keep the speed and rocks down... Information is also available by contacting the park at:
