The following definitions apply to Lizards only... any similarities to any other earthly situations are purely coincidental.

Adventure = A series of Lizard events that beg the question, "Why am I doing this?"

Burrito Surprise = A favorite dish of Lizards (Caution at altitude... may cause damage to sleeping bags... See Lizard Eatery).

Bread = Tortillas (Easier to carry and doesn't mash down in your pack).

Day Hike = A dawn to dusk march through aimless canyons and valleys trying to remember the location of the base camp.

Expedition = Lizard Adventure X 10... And you have to use an airplane to get there.

Lizard Lounger = A technological marvel first used in the mid-eighties by Lizards trying to keep their butts from freezing off during snow camping adventures. The lounger consists of a foam core foldup mat with side pieces and stays for back support. Newer models use a therm-a-rest pad for even more comfort.

Yip, Yip, Yip! = Official Lizard greeting (Caution: Use with other Lizards only... May induce rock throwing in other hikers).

You Idiot = Unofficial Lizard greeting.

You Idiot Award = Five pound gold painted brick carried by the Lizard who has performed the most recent dumb stunt (i.e., burning up diner, falling in creek) Note: This Award is passed on at the next knuckle-head event... usually not too long.
